What is some need-to-know info about yourself?
I am a retired physical therapist and have been an entrepreneur all my life, and a writer. I have started several businesses and a non profit. I love the game of making money although it can be a rough go at times. I have had failures that actually landed us in bankruptcy. But life after bankruptcy can be very good, very peaceful. I believe I have learned my best lessons from these “failures.”

How have your personal experiences influenced your blogs?
The number one biggest factor of my personal life that influences DebtDance is following your dreams. I love to write. I hate working in places where I have no control. I worked for a family owned company once where the owner threw temper tantrums on a daily basis. I quit after one day. As a physical therapist I have known many people–kids and adults—dying and I know life is too short to put up with bad situations.

What is your favorite topic to blog about and why?
Following your dreams. I believe that money is a temporary situation. It’s like the tides…money comes in, money goes out. But if we follow what we really love everything else will fall into place. Believing that it is possible is, of course, the key.
-
Many of your blogs include practical tips and financial help, where do you pull your topics from?
All over the place. Sometimes it’s something in my personal life. The other day I wrote about how to get a job because my daughter’s friend is losing their home because the father lost his job. I wanted to help folks in this desperate situation. Sometimes I read things on the net that make me angry…people giving financial advice from a perspective of never having had financial challenges. Money problems are tough and complex. So I’m often inspired to share my many years of experience in the health and mental health field and my own personal struggles and try to give what I know people need or hope for.
-
What topic is your most popular?
How to make more money. People are hungry for real information that can help them change something or add something to their lives. They don’t want to know theory of how to do it, they want to know what they can do tomorrow to really put money in their pockets.

What advice would you give to readers who are struggling with debt?
Stop fighting and find an answer. Sounds simplistic I know but it is that simple. If you are about to lose your house or in so much credit card debt that it is destroying your life then file for bankruptcy. If it can be handled with a weekend business then do it. If you need to sell your house and car and downsize, do it. Take ownership. Things may have happened, like the loss of a job, that have landed you in hot water, but we all have choices. Everyday begins a new journey of choices. Do not let money troubles drive your life. Let your dreams drive your life. Read, surround yourself with positive people. If you’ve never read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill you must start there. It is life altering. Know that money is fleeting, temporary, and you can find answers.
