What encouraged you to start Ready to Be Rich?
Ready To Be Rich is a way for me to pay it forward. I’ve had my own financial struggles in the past and learned that reading motivational stories of other people helped a lot in giving me the right mindset to overcome my own trials. And that’s what really encouraged me to start. I hoped that I can likewise inspire other people, specially those from my country, the Philippines, to change their mindset and start their own path towards financial freedom.

Do life experiences play a key part in the content of your blogs?
Yes, very much. In each post, I always try to give my readers personal glimpses and anecdotes from my own life. By being transparent with what I’ve been through and by sharing my current struggles, I have been able to gain their trust and helped them realize that they’re not alone with their financial difficulties. By sharing my life experiences – my content has become personal, motivational and inspirational.
-
What is your favorite financial topic to blog about?
My favorite would have to be the mindsetting articles – those which challenge you to rethink how you understand money, business, investments and success. I also like talking about investments and business tips but I find that most of the time, each individual’s real life setting is different from how I imagine it – thus making my practical advise not so “practical” all the time. But those mindsetting topics will always hit the right spot into encouraging people to find their own unique solutions to their financial challenges. And that’s why it is my favorite – because the lessons there are universal.
-
How is your financial career influencing the topics you blog about?
I would say that my financial career greatly influences the topics I blog about. I like sharing my thoughts and telling stories, and that’s what I do when I write a post. Most of the topics I write about are essentially taken from my life experiences. Interestingly, the articles I’ve written can likewise influence my financial career. My blog sometimes serve as my own guide when I feel lost. It is true that many times, I find the answers to my financial questions from my own archives.
-
Where do you see Ready to be Rich in about 2 years?
I see Ready To Be Rich as one of the best resources for personal finance, investing and business for people, specially for Filipinos, who are just starting out with their financial career. I believe that such knowledge should always be free and that’s what I’m trying to do with my blog – to provide sensible advise and tips that’s accessible to everyone.
-
What advice do you have for our endeavoring entrepreneur readers?
A business always starts with the right mindset – focus, optimism, persistence and discipline. The best business idea is the one that inspires you to serve others. Being an entrepreneur is rarely about the money but always about helping others and pursuing the passion to do what you love. When you understand all of these, then you’re surely on your path to success.
