Money Hacks Carnival #5 at Antishay Ventenne

26 March, 2008 (17:28) | News | By: Pinyo

The Money Hacks Carnival #5 was hosted at Antishay Ventenne. Shanti did a great job with the carnival. Here are her editor’s picks:

  • PaidTwice wrote about how her perspective has changed regarding the media and advertisements since increasing her own financial awareness in Critical Thinking and the Media - Awareness Brings a New Eye. I’ve written about this as well and feel so strongly when I find someone else shares my viewpoint.
  • Financial Learn wrote My Dad - Frugal, Generous and My Hero, which is a beautiful testament to how great financial parenting can lean a young individual to incredible prosperity. I love this story! I wish I had learned such valuable lessons before going into debt and find this story very inspiring.
  • Foxie at Dreaming of Ferrari wrote about defining enough for herself as she’s reading through Your Money or Your Life. I think we need to all look at this perspective and think about what’s enough for us :)
  • Free From Broke wrote about why getting a large tax refund is bad. Oh, I so agree! I am so happy that this has been written :) It’s right along with my personal values and I really enjoyed the post. It’s YOUR money!
  • Dorian at The Personal Financier wrote a wonderful post with seven tips for buying a new home, entitled How To Make Sure This Is Your Dream Home. As Sean continues to look for a house to buy, these kinds of posts become more and more dear to my heart - and this lists a bunch of helpful info along the way.

Thank you for doing such a wonderful job. Next week carnival will be hosted at Bible Money Matters.
